Secure, seamless, smart: The new digital operations logbook makes day-to-day operations management easier for swimming pool operators

For over 150 years, Herborner Pumpen has stood for technical innovation in water and pump technology. In recent years, the company has consistently extended this expertise into the digital sphere – with its own team of developers, practical software solutions, and a clear focus on the needs of pool operators. The latest outcome of these efforts is eThemis – a digital operations logbook developed specifically for swimming pools. It enables legally compliant, efficient, and intuitive documentation of all operational processes: from water values to cleaning to maintenance tasks.

The software is designed for municipal and private pools alike – especially for pool supervisors, operations managers, facility managers, and plant engineers. The goal is to significantly reduce the effort involved in daily operations while providing greater transparency and safety. “With eThemis, we’ve created a system that’s based on the real working day of pool operators – not on abstract requirements,” explains Sascha Korupp, Technical Manager at Herborner Pumpen. “The app works offline too, is ready to use immediately, and provides exactly the features that matter day to day.”

eThemis brings together three key strengths:

  • Secure: digital and legally compliant documentation
  • Seamless: easy, intuitive operation
  • Smart: efficient, modern management of operations

Its most important features include the secure, tamper-proof digital logging of all entries, the automated scheduling of recurring tasks, a task and ticket management system, and an intuitive user interface that even less tech-savvy users can operate with ease. Instructions and training can also be assigned and documented directly through the system.

The official product launch will take place at this year’s aquanale from October 28 to 31, 2025 in Cologne. At the trade fair, Herborner Pumpen will not only present eThemis live in action, but will also be available for personal advice, insights into the development process, and specific application examples. The trade fair team looks forward to welcoming many visitors and having engaging discussions at stand D58 / E59 in Hall 7.1.
