As part of this innovation project, we are modernizing our production by introducing an additive 3D sand printing process. Conventional, manually embossed mold production is being replaced by a direct, digitally controlled printing process. This makes it possible for the first time to economically produce molds for highly efficient pumps in batch size 1. The purchase of a 3D sand printer is therefore a central focus of the project and creates the basis for flexible, precise, and resource-saving production.

Another component of the project is the development of a hydrogen electrolyzer and fuel cell system. This system makes it possible to convert excess electricity from the existing photovoltaic system into hydrogen and then convert it back into electrical energy on site. This means that, for the first time, the excess production that was previously fed into the grid is now used entirely for the company's own purposes. This increases the proportion of self-consumption, improves energy independence, and increases the overall efficiency of the energy supply.

The project aims to sustainably increase manufacturing efficiency and produce individual pump geometries economically in batch size 1. The use of the 3D sand printing process makes it possible to completely dispense with manual model production and to make production significantly more flexible and precise. At the same time, the new electrolyzer and fuel cell system is intended to make the excess electricity from the photovoltaic system fully usable for the first time. By converting it into hydrogen and later converting it back into electricity on site, the self-consumption of the solar power generated is significantly increased, the energy independence of the operation is expanded, and the overall energy efficiency is improved. In addition, the waste heat generated by the fuel cell can be used for heating, which further increases the energy efficiency of the system and improves the overall balance once again. Overall, the project makes a clear contribution to resource-saving, technologically advanced, and sustainable corporate development.
